The darker crescent represents mystery and introspection, while the glowing center holds a lotus and the shadow of the meditating Buddha. To me, this symbolizes how clarity and wisdom emerge gradually, even from uncertainty.

Just as the lotus rises from murky waters, purity of mind and heart can arise through challenge and confusion. By painting the Buddha’s shadow rather than a form, I wanted to emphasize that enlightenment is not an image to achieve, but a practice to live—through compassion, steadiness, and openness.
