This opening becomes the focal point—an intentional break in the exterior that reveals a dense cluster of symbolic objects embedded beneath the surface. The surrounding areas feel heavy and compressed, while the center draws the eye inward, inviting closer inspection.

Color & Energy

Earthy browns, rusts, and ochres dominate the exterior, evoking soil, stone, and weathered ground. There are countless treasures hidden beneath the earth—precious metals, minerals, and gems that have shaped civilizations and economies. But there are also treasures hidden within us: compassion, wisdom, resilience, and love. These are harder to see, but infinitely more meaningful.

In this painting, I created a rugged, fractured exterior to represent the outer layers we all carry. At the center, I placed symbols of time, freedom, and love to remind us that uncovering our inner riches requires patience and intention. The broken chains speak of release, and the heart reflects the freedom that comes from valuing what truly matters.

This work is an invitation to look beneath the surface—of the earth, and of ourselves—and to honor the quiet treasures waiting to be discovered..
